Recommended minimum transom height

I am currently doing some modifications to my aluminium cuddy cab rear end.

I am adding a pod and the motor will be mounted on that pod.

My question is: What is the recommended minimum depth that the pod must be below the motor mounting height, in order to accept the cables etc. when the motor is tilted?

With the newer style type of mounting, is 100 mm sufficient below the transom height?

they normal run all the cable, hoses etc through a confluted tube between the motor and transom and that feeds through the transom to make a water tight seal so in theory your transom could be 2 metres high

Bit of a misunderstanding here. I am referring to the motor end.

When the motor is tilted, there is a coil of controls,electrical harness,fuel lines,that need some space,to bend in a radius,so they dont get kinked,and to allow the tilt of the motor.
.
At present,these are in the motor well.
When the modern approach is used,there is no well,and the motor is raised above the pod,to provide the same space for the cables to coil.

My question is,what is the minimum space above the pod surface,that would allow the cables,and controls,to work in.
Is that better?

Blaze,Ishouldnt have used the word transom,but rather the motor mounting height, ont the pod.

Went window shopping today, heights ranged from 75 mm to 100 mm,and the width was 550mm.What did amaze me was the height of the sides of the boats,compared to my old girl.
Another matter I found was the inspection hatch built into the top of the floatation pod. Makes for easy access to fitting the motor,when you cant get to the bolts from inside the boat.
