Trolling with Optimax a problem ?

I'm just curious to see what ausfish people think about trolling with optimax engines for a extended period of time.

I have a boat on order and have chosen the optimax (this can be changed). Do you think this is a issue i should be worried about if i plan to do quite a bit of trolling with this boat ?

Mate, I have a 115 Opti (2004 model) that gets a lot of work trolling and idleing.
No drama !!!
I can spend hours trolling around dams for Bass etc and not notice any ill effects from my Opti. Runs smooth every time !! Min revs for a 115 Opti is 650, other models may get lower than this :-/
Different story with some of the old 2 strokes I've used in the past, coughing and spluttering etc.

I'm sticking with my Opti 8-) 420 hrs and going strong !!

Me too, Have started to troll at around 6-7 knotts. Economy is great and have done it for hours with no problems. 135 HP with nearly 200 hours.
