Hi guys went fishing yesterday motor was excellent in the morning latter in the day after some lunch the engine would not idle probably it sounded very quite for a 2 stroke and to get it to go forward I had to put it in gear from about 1/4 throttle it is a merc 15 super and is 10 months old
How old was the fuel. Is it premix?

Warranty should be the way to go with this. Sounds like it should just be a simple problem like a lead that has fallen off 1 of the coils or something.
You may be able to take the cowling off and have a quick visual check of all the electrical connectors and maybe even the spark plug leads. Could just be a coil is faulty too.
