Hi

I've got an old 40lb Minn Kota transom mt, and I think that I can change the direction by pushing the tiller with my knee. To run it I need a foot control, and I was thinking about a foot switch that you use on big boats to control the anchor winch. They are here.

This deck mounted foot switch is ideal for anchor winches or other high amp applications, rated to 150 amps. Comes with hinged sealing cap which stops accidental operation. 64mm mounting, suits 12 or 24 volt systems.

I would need to build some sort of enclosure, but at $40.00 for the switch, I think it would be a lot cheaper than buying a proper bow mount. Motor draws 42 Amps.

Will this work?
