Gbang,

I think it is 9 metres length, not 9mm plate (if that is what you meant?)

thats one big slab of aluminium. does it still have a trailerable beam of 2.5m?????

be an awesome bluewater marlin flyfishing rig. would rather have the rocketlauncher back a bit, rather than right over the transom. still an awesome looking rig.

does any one with twin obs on a mono have tabs as well or (as i would imagine) the triming ability of the two motors prevents listing by lowering or raising either of the ob's

that is one trick boat! thumbs up to barton and the crew. i seen it on a trailer at the tackle and tinny show. friend has one of the first amm's with twin 90's and runs trim tabs. helps when fat bastards like me are on board and moving around!!!

Strange place for the life raft. Wouldn't it be better on the roof where it is out of the way till needed
Strange to actually see a liferaft on a boat that size that is not in survey,

Awesome looking boat though. Its a credit to them

Dont like it, purely for the fact that you have a huge boat with no shelter to speak of, wouldnt it be a better boat with a centre cab/walkaround offset cab or some form of shelter.
Just my opinion

Macca,

It sure was fun taking this girl for a strap......I don't want cause any hassles by raving about this boat as we are not sponsors of this sight. But Going X is in survey, the boat is powered by twin 250 Suzuki's giving it a top speed of 50 knots, with 3 metre beam.

The RFD has to be placed at the transom as it is to heavy for the alloy t-top (all that weight up high would eventually cause cracks in the alloy tubing), boat has recessed trim tabs and finally there are full wrap around clears that extend out to the gunnels giving you all the shelter you need! Going X is likely operate out of Cooktown for full on fast trips out to the reef and back, maximising fishing time!

Cheers

Ps. Congratulations to Col & the guys at Fisher Boats on your win with the Modern Boating award..good to see it going to another "true platey" in the Brisbane area.

All you 'southerners' comment on protection in the way of cabins ect ... , up here in the north a centre consul is fine - a cold night only gets down to a chilly 20 degrees ;D

I like it but some of the creeks I launch in to get access to open waters are only 6m's wide - what if you need to turn around because you left your bait in the car? :o

Great looking boat, but I think it has a dog ugly windscreen setup, it kinda looks like you are behind one of those 1950's atomic testing shields.

Apart from that, the size didn't really hit home until you mentioned 3 metre beam, bloody awesome fishing platform.

Agree fully with the comment about protection up north versus down south.

G'day
I too saw this at the tnt show. Thought it was one hell of a machiene. Only thing I didnt like about it was that bloody liferaft on the transom. What an obstacle for trolling? But now i know why and all boats are built for a purpose in mind. Love the look of it and i think the yanks would love this aswell. You know how crazy they are with their big centre consoles like this.

I take it the boat will be used for some type of charter operation...any idea of what type of operation and where it will be operating. Also is it built to survey?

Cheers

I like the size of this boat and i like that it is running twin suzuki"s but that looks like it is hard to see over that mack truck size butt ugly console and why are the motors trimmed up so far.
