Smithy has done them on his bigger 680 Haines Pete :-?

Posted some good pics as well of how much hassle they had to fit them but they are worth it.

Cheers

Snappa,
I have a Haines Signature 542f with the swim platforms on the back.
I just installed a set of 18" x 9" Benentt trim tabs.
I ordered it with the short rams (actuators) and simply had to cut the top part of the rams mounting plate off. Basically, the mounting plate that accepts the hydraulic line is in a triangle shape, so I got out the mitre saw and chopped the top off.

From there, I just grinded it down so it was nice and neat, and mounted it through the bottom rim of the actual swim platform itself.
If you want photos or to see what we did, feel free to contact me on 0414 370 104.

If you can get "extra short" rams (which I believe is possible) you will have no dramas at all.

After doing ours on the 702 Signature we thought of another solution. #We could have re-rivetted where the ram met the tab and changed the angle. #Here is what we did. #Caused a lot of heartache and we now rely on the strength of the boarding platform. #In practice the tabs changed this boat completely to best handling sub 7m mono I have been in. #She was a bit of a dog without them.

From the side. Bogged up the glass then hid it all under a SS cover.

All neat and tidy.

Thought you were selling the Haines?

Again.

There is a front welded across that so everything is disguised.
