evinrude 1998 3cyl 35hp

I am looking at buying a second hand boat it is a 4.1 sea jay with a evinrude 3cyl 35 hp on the back the seller is getting the motor serviced and new impellor put in.What i would like to know has anyone got these motors or know anything about them tried google but no luck.

Serviced a few of these, seem pretty sweet and responsive, being a 3 cylinder definitely one of the smoothest 2 strokes in the horsepower category, lost foam cast block, good sized cubes for the category-should get alot of wear out of it.

Just make sure you get a full report on the engine and you're buying it for the right bickies. ;)

know the owner and have been fishing in the boat he has had it for 6 years mostley done fresh water fishing and only done about 60 hrs in 6 years boat motor and trailor full floor 3 pod seats underfloor fuel tank 2 new batt new fuel lines x91 sounder new fuel fillter $4500.all redo.

Plugger i had one of these a few years back and it was a great trolling motor, very smooth at idle.
