Hey fieldy
I'd have a Wellcraft Coastal 360. All the luxuries to stay out a couple of months at a time, because money isn't an issue - Im not workin either! Follow this link to have a look: www.wellcraft.com/Boats/Boats_Detail.asp?c=1&b=466

951ft long, 201ft high, 118ft beam, 26ft draft, 109000 tonnes, 5 pools, 9 spas, 21 megawatts of power, top speed of 24kts. Of course with a number of tenders for fishing shallower water. and all for just $450 million :P

I thought the options prices in Oz were hot, have you checked out the prices for the Coastal. Damn nice boat but.
Does make "Bring Out Another Thousand" just too true!

If after sales service and resale is part of the deal on the dream boat I'll have to stay with Seafarer, probably a fully loaded 6.8 with twin 175 ETECs

Im seriously thinking of buying a new boat. Not much bigger than the little one I have now but with better shelter.
Oh yes...as as per another thread that made me laugh, one that has a boat cleaner in budgy smugglers.
Sorry about that. Dont want to sound sexist but Lucylass understands.

lol yeah i think she would be scraping bottom in the shipping lanes, let alone around the reefs :P But i rekon if you replace a couple of the lifeboats with say a stabicraft 609 supercab, a fisher 670 maxi, something like a tabs sportfisher for creeks down the west coast and a haines patriot 800 for those longer trips i think you should have all your bases covered ;)

with the currents that run up there i rekon you'd need a fair size electric, considering the main engine is a 21 megawatt electric engine, id say something like a riptide pro 101lb thrust with extended shaft should do the trick :P

HogesTS,

The problem with the Princess is you'd need a new Landcruiser to tow it, and it would be a bugger to drive on to the trailer. :)

I can certainly associate with that comment:
Berthing Fees..$4000 per annum
Annual anti foul - $1500
Insurance - $1500 per annum
Motor Service - about $2000 per annum

and that is without running the boat...add in fuel etc and it gets scary
