Launching Boat at Somerset

I will taking my new boat up to Somerset this weekend and hoping to launch from the Spit. Has anyone launched from the spit lately (since the water level has fallen) and if so can you launch without a four wheel drive etc?

Gidday Ray, can't help you with the spit area however we launched from Kirkleigh Camping area last Sunday and had no problems.

Launched at Kirkleigh 3 weeks ago - no problems

Also looked at the spit during that trip and people didn't seem to have any problems launching & recovering with cars.

Some areas are steeper than others, you'll just need to have a look for what's best for you.
