Dont know the owner, but its been sitting near the railway bridge in Tingalpa Creek for years.

Dont know if the yellow thing is a small sub or what.

Never the less, the whole structure doesnt look too sea worthy.

G'day
That "palace" has been there for years. There's people living aboard and 2 small dogs yapping away now and then. It sits hard on the sand at half tide or less. I spose, a great thing is..... they have water views and this side of town you're looking at a million plus? ;)

Hey Guys :)

I have seen this too and wondered what it was!!!! #The kids were very interested in the "sub" and were asking lots of questions llike "what is it?" I had to admit that I had no idea! #Thanks for clearing it up for me, now I know what to tell them! :)

I wonder whether it was floating, but as Bleckened said, I saw it all low tide the other day and she was definately high and dry!

I actually spoke to the owner of this when he was delivering materials to building sites a couple of years back. The yellow boat has an outboard in a waterproof surround, the boat can capsize or flip upside down and it self rights itself. He had taken across to Moreton Island and all throughout the bay.

"It sits hard on the sand at half tide or less."

Looks like its not far from sitting on the bottom at any tide

I remember that thing from about twelve years ago when I used to paddle down Tinny Creek. It looked like it should not have been floating back then, but if it is sitting on the bottom for half it's life, that would explain it. ;)

And i thought Donga's in the bush here looked bad! That 'Retreat' takes the cake im afraid...

I can just see a jet ski slamming into that place... gonna be hell to pay. Hope the bloke has his 'retreat' insured... my spare change should cover for that just incase he doesnt.

Perhaps the palace has a helipad and chopper (aka the yellow thing)...

The Yellow Sub is an escape vessel for large ships etc, go down to the docks in Brissy River and check out a lot of the large freighters and tankers and you will see on the back a similar vessel, often they are red though.

As stated they can be rolled over completely and self right, and are very water tight. They don't go underwater though as in a submarine ::)

The way Moreton Bay blows up its probably a good idea to own one of these at times !!
