Hello there felow boaters

I am after some assistance with an old Simplex Control Arm.

There is a lot of freeplay and its impossible to find the right point at which the engine will start.

I have been to Bias and for $200 or so you can get TFX Engine Controls which is a single lever that operates throttle and changes gear.

Has anyone had any experience with these controls, are they simple enough to install.

I live at Boondall and any assistance appreciated.

Thanks

I suggest you get hold of the specs for each control unit and compare them ie length of travel and type of connections

HI Gary

spoke to Mick at Rivercity Marine and baiscally boat is in poor condition, it has been leaking a bit so i installed a bilge, but they tell me things are going to get worse, cracks developing etc

I am now considering getting rid of it and pursuing another

engine still goes but i been told the top bearing is shat and god knows what else, not worth taking the risk with taking the kids out though

might just advertise for $2000 or something and see how i go

Cheers

Andrew
