Hi all,
How often do you replace your outboard batteries.

I run a dual battery setup and only use one at a time, You will notice when they are not holding a charge as well as they used to.
If you take it to a battery place or Auto electrickery person(do it on they way home froma trip) They can tell you if it is still a good battery or not.
In a car they say two years but I just replaced on in the boat i purchased recently and it was nearly 8 years old. needless to say I went to the place that supplied the battery originally and got another one. (Key Battery Service Wollongong)

So far me battery is 5 years old.
It has for the last 2 years taken longer to charge it hovers on 2.5 Amps for 3 hours but then comes good.
But all up takes 5 hours, when it takes 8-12 to recover time for a new one.
Mind you that's me reckoning wirh an 8 Amp charger.
I also charge it every 3-4 weeks or the night before I take the tub out.
