mariner v's mercury

i know this has prob been done before but i would like to know if there is a difference in a 75hp. the boat dealers assured me no. i was a one this arvo and i said i didnt want a mariner and he said no problems i will just change the cowell. i looked at the motor and it did have merc tags on it. just one of those things i guess. if u buy something particular then u want that product. may seem trivial.

Exactly the same just different colour on the cowl.

Personal opinion is the Merc looks better with the all black cowl but each to their own I suppose.

Everything on my Mariner says Merc, even the user guide :-?, I agree with Finnatical, black does look better. Hence I will be getting a black cowl cover.

I heard that although made by the same company Mariner is the Jap version of the US Mercury
