Hi guys,
Can you tell me how you guys flush your engines through when there is a hosepipe ban on?

BCC allow flushing of outboards with a hose and muffs. Other Councils may be different though.

Check you local Council website and it will be listed what you can and can't do when cleaning your boat and car etc.

I do believe (at least in my area) that flushing the motor does not come under the same regulation as simply using a hose to wash things, it is covered by some sort of "maintenance exemption"

I believe that BCC allows flushing of a motor for a maximum of 5 minutes.

In NSW we have 10 mins for motor and trailer brake flushing.

But you can still use a bucket legally to fill a tank or bag for your motor and flush it that way.

Logan City Council have also allowed or at least made provision as per manufacturers recomendations in another thread
