Haines hunter 17R Conversion

Does anyone know where you can get a top for a 17R I would like to convert my boat to a 17L. I understand that Sidell Craft had the moulds but I cannot find any contact details.

Any help would be appreciated.

Alternatively anyone with a 17L boat that has hull damage or is not going to be repaired and want to get rid of it please contact me.

Sounds like a fairly ambitious project, you don't think it might be easier to sell your boat and go shopping for a 17L? I know they are not always easy to find but thats the way I would be going. Otherwise wait for a cheapie to come up and raid the bits you need off it.

Research tells me it is a relatively easy job. I already have the gunnell off and I am rebuilding the transom and floor. So all I would have to do is unstaple and restaple as they are a direct fit.

Yep, fair enough. If you are already tackling a fair amount of work anyway, then it sounds like a good idea.
