Hi there folks,
I'm new to all of this, and have just bought a boat which needs a little work!
I need some info on this motor, hope someone can help.

Does anyone know where I can get a manual for it? and do you know how much charge it puts into the batteries (if it even has an alternator that is!). Shows you just how much of a newbie I am!

regards
Mike

Specs in my manual say only 6amps, which seems pretty low, saying that, I haven't had much trouble keeping the batteries charged except after long periods of no use.

I got my manual from the local Yamaha dealer. I think it cost me about $70.00.

Do a search in the boating section as a couple of people have posted links to places that do them much cheaper.

I had a 70 BETO on my old boat. It was able to keep the charge up to 2 batteries no probs ( never had the switch on both mind you)
