Is there stamp duty on a used boat?

I am in the process of buying a Qld registered, second-hand boat and was wondering if I have to pay duty on the boat.

Qld transport website says that "All trailers and drawn equipment are exempt."
Does a boat count as drawn equipment or is that just the trailer?

there is no stamp duty on most vessel or at least when i have purchased boats there never has been

That means "carried on the trailer"

In february when I bought the seafarer and transfered the rego of both boat and trailer to me, there was no "stamp Duty" but I did have to pay an $18.50 processing fee on each one to transfer the rego's

I just transfered one today and it cost me $18.95 each (one for the boat and one for the trailer. I was shocked that they ddn't hit me one for the engine :)
