This "boat" and i use the term loosly.... has been parked in Bells Creek for some time now and got me thinking. Why is there no "seaworthy" for a boat like we have "roadworthy" for cars? This looks like someone has dropped the old chesney caravan onto a frame with some 44 gallon drums under her to keep her afloat. Now my first thought was, what happens when those drums rust? She will go down like a stone. I am thinking that it wont take long for that to happen either in saltwater. Not a boat I would like to sleep on anyway. The bit i liked the best was the nav lights consisted of 2 of those solar garden lights whacked on the roof.... ;D ;D
Got to hand it to the guy.... he thinks outside the square!

You can imagine the brainstorming that went on during the second half of a carton with that one.

I reckon its all good, but where is the BBQ ? :o
Years ago I knew a bloke who had a clapped out old caravan on his yard while he built his house.. He was also actually a welder who made alloy punts for a living.. They had a customer who ordered a punt and never turned up, so Dennis bought it off the boss for costs basically & got it trucked to his house.
We all thought he was mad, but you guessed it, he cut the ar$e off the caravan and mounted it into the punt ! ;D
Threw an old pull start 40 Johnno on the back and Bob is your uncle!
It was a fine party vessel indeed.. and this blokes effort has brought back some hazey memories (sort of) ;)
