Running temperature for Johnson 140hp

Hey guys just put in a temp gauge in the boat but dont think its working would anyone be able to give me the minimum running temp for this motor. I had it running in the yard and the gauge hasn't moved so im guessing that something is wrong any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi Mariner22, memorys a bit rough but somewhere around 60-70deg C, if you can hold your hand on the engine for a short time only the guage should be reading, due to water pressure/volume it's not impossible that at home and on the muffs the sender is reading an air pocket.
