HI Team!

I have holes (from unwanted ducer) to fill on back of my transom - and I want to know if I should use these holes for something else..

I fish for snapper in PPB in a 5.3m FB Haines..

I already have a ladder.. SHould I mount a berley bucket - if so - what type?

Or, what about a temperature sensor?

What do people mount on the back of their fiberglass transoms?

Smelly :)

Maybe you could fit a speed sensor (paddle style) if your sounder has the facility. The lowrance I currently have have temp built into the sounder tansducer.

Just how critical is having temp anyway?

Critical if you wan't to go for a swim.

Some fish don't know about most, tend to like warmer water.
I'm guessing thats why power station hot water outlets are a big attraction for fish.

Mind you, you will only pick up surface temp in your boat and I couldn't tell you if that would make much differance to the actual temp 20- or 30 feet below the surface.

Maybe there a waste of time for fish hunting.

If you install a berley bucket make sure it's not in the water flow when on the plane.

That thing hanging to low at speed will splash water all over your motor,
and cause some performance loss.

Well,

boating/ fishing on PPB, I guess it'd be handy to
get some fore-warning about when the h h h h h hypothermia
was about to set in...
