Hi Guys
Does anyone know where to get a trailable boat cover to suit a 4.55m Quintrex Hornet Wildfish at a reasonable price. I`ve tried some off the shelf models that are the right length but to narrow or the right width but to short. Any advise would be great.

Thanks John

Good post

I tried the Canvas guy in Capalaba for a cover for me 4.35 Alley Craft and they quoted me $1000. I said "%#*@ I dont want gold eyelets" :o

Ended up buying one of those multi layered Silver Tarps from bunnings for $50 and it covers the entire boat. Sure not as BLING as a custom fit job...but I can still afford bait!! ;)

Was the $1000 out of the park or am I the son of a Scotsman

justin at brendale quoted between $450 to $550 for a trailable 100% waterproof fitted cover today for the 4.45 hornet. the differents in price depend on what extras i want. i thought it was reasonable price for the quality i saw in his work.

John,

Cruisecraft Explorer 500 under the cover. The cover set me back $1700 and is made to perfection. The winds can be devastating where I live and I needed a cover that can take them. The canvas used is an acrylic canvas that lets the boat breath, therefore, does not sweat and create mold.

Do yourself a favour and get it made in the same vinyl that comes with new boat biminis.
I had a custom cover made in that fabric/sunbrella stuff and got sucked in with that "lighter.. Breathable" line ... OK it doesnt sweat, but it does fade.. and after towing from Melb to Caloundra it had almost wore through at some points that came into contract with the boat. Had it re-made under warranty, but sold the boat.
I am getting a new Bimini made for my boat soon... In Hot sweaty vinyl...

Thanks Mick great looking cover saw one on the weekend made down your way for a 4.75 hornet that cost nearly 2 grand. think I will go with brisbane boat trims cover it will fill all my needs at a good price. don`t like the sound of the winds down your way you can have them but send any spare rain.

Thanks Garry for the photos good price for a cover like that from what i`ve seen.

Thanks all for your input
Cheers John
