Good one Mr_Bean, you couldn't go wrong as far as quality goes. I think it's going to be packed on the day. I wouldn't mind a closer look.

Thanks for the link.

Always sad to hear of this sort of thing happening :(

I wonder what went wrong?

They werent exactly a small yard / business.

Looks like prices will be high at Auction with all the Ausfishers there ;D

Cheers

It does not surprise me...wife and I were looking for a new boat..drove down there one Saturday ...we were looking at their Four Wiins range of boats...salesman was with us and showed us over one of the boats..about 26' I think...I asked if we could have a look at the new 30' model..his answer.."I doubt you could afford that". We promptly left..if that was the attitude throughout the business it is no wonder they have gone into liquidation.

Yamaha dealer doing broke! The printing press must have jammed :D.

Betcha a few of those engines and boats have been paid for by unlucky punters (dads not getting the boat now) , they might see 10% back after all the people more important than the customers get their gouged share?
Second hand feels safer sometimes esp when a post like this crops up.

cheers fnq

Bought a secondhand Yamaha motor from the previous owners and it turned out to be a big lemon. They fed me a heap of bullsh#t about its history.
They didn't want to know me when it seized 100m from the boat ramp on the first trip.Ended up contacting Yamaha directly and they said they had many complaints about Boatorama.
Absolute bunch of tossers....i think the name was always tarnished.
What goes around comes around!!
Still use Yamaha but now only buy new.Steve at Marine Tune Burleigh will always look after you.

Interesting........ I also had bad dealings with the previous owners and have never set foot in the door since - even asked them to take my name off their mailing list as I was never going there again. It is always sad to hear of a business closing. I cannot help but agree, perhaps the business was damaged by the previous management.
