60 hp ETEC

Does anyone have a 60 hp ETEC? What sort of boat is it on and has there been any dramas with the motor. I've heard some of the midrange ones have had ECM probs. #What sort of fuel mileage do they get and are those big twins a smooth running motor? Waiting in anticipation of your replies :)

I have not had anything to do with the 60 E-tec but my father has a 50 which I believe is the same motor just downrated, he is very happy with it and it is proving to be a very reliable motor.

It is fitted to a 4.5 mtr Bluefin and does the job really well, for a twin it is really smooth almost no vibration and quiet too. It has impressed everyone who has driven it including myself as for fuel economy I do not know but if he does not complain then it must be O,K.

My parents fish more than ever since they have bought the Bluefin, both boat and motor are a real pleasure to use.
