Can I Paint

Yeh , I have got 2 aerials. Which are badly in need of some paint .
The white covering is flecking off everywhere .
Can i paint them or will it upset their ability to receive etc.....
They are a vhf & 27meg , both fiberglass and 3m long.
Anyone painted theirs ?????

Never seen one painted. But a few years ago did see a guy who put heat shring down his and shrunk it.worked a treat

I put heat shrink on boat aerial before, it lasted for years. I simply took off all of the old plastic coating (carefull) and put the heat shrink on, easy as.
