Heads-up Batteries price rise

Hi all
well just replaced 2 of my 17 plate marine Batteries

while i was there the guy's informed me that i had bought at the rite time as in January 07 that battery prices will rise by 30% rise due to the facts that most lead for Batteries come from China and the government over there has stopped the 16% pay levy to the business that produce and export the lead so 8-) now is the time to by your Batteries people before they go up in price some of the distributers have already added this increase to there prices before Xmas so shop around you may get lucky

sorry to give you the bad news before xmas but to be warned is better than walking in and finding out that the price increase has come without warning

makes you wonder why the price is rising by 30% when the levy was only 16% eh.
