Hi,

I recently launched a new boat. I fitted a 110 litre Bemuda fuel tank to it (transverse V shaped one)

Before the motor was fitted, I put 50 litres in it.

A new Suzy 140 was fitted complete with fuel guage, which then registered just above the empty mark.

Following water testing, I filled the tank. The guage moved to half full. I asked the mechanic who fitted the engine about it. He said I should have a play with bending the sender unit float. Is this the way to go, or is there some way of calibrating the sender unit that Bermuda fit?

If I do bend the float, what should I reseal the sender unit to the tank with? I know from past experience that I can't use silastic!

Hope someone has some advice.

thanks Dave Morgan.

took me a while to get the user name, have you still got it, nice bike.
Thats about the only way to calibrate a fuel gauge, but at best they are only an indicator. Does or can you get a smart gauge to go with the 140, a much better way of watching fuel usage
cheers
