Electric onto Quintrex 420 Top ender

All,
I have a Quintrex 420 topender and would like to fit a bow mounted electric trolling motor in the new year. I am unsure of where I should mount it, on the gunwale or on the bow itself. The problem is the handrails on the bow would make fitting difficult....
Any advice from similar installations would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Quintrex 455 escape, with a bow rail...which had to be cut for the reason that I bought a Jarvis marine 54lb bow mount. Which cannot be taken off when not in use !!!
