New Boat Price

Called a certain boat yard today to get a price on a new boat. I rang the yard around 11am this morning and was told by a salesperson that the boat was $1500 + rego and a trailer for it was $1200 inc rego.I decided to go ahead with the purchase and after work (at 3 pm )drove down there to find the boat was now $1550 + rego and the trailer was $1300 + rego. I find it odd that the price could vary by $150 + rego in four hours.

Well I hope that you did not pay the higher price.

If you were there ready to buy, that is one helluva negotiation position to own. #Most of the time, sellers are desperately trying to find buyers so all is negotiable when you are there in person with your wallet open but closing at the same time in front of their very eyes.

It was a struggle for them to even match their standard floor price which they gave me over the phone 4 hours earlier so I put my wallet back in my pocket and walked out.
