What would you do I this happened to you. I bought a boat package of them about 6 months ago and a week or two before chrismas they ring me and ask me what engine number is on my outboard. The nunber on my outboard did not match my paper work. The sails man wrote the wrong engine number down on all my paper work, everything. My receipt, my insurance, my loan contract ,rego and even my service book. They didnt even pick up on the mistake when they first serviced the outboard. The phone calls I had to make to them to fix the problem was bull***t. I asked the sails guy if I could get a new receipt with the right numbers on it and you would have thought I asked him for 20 dollars. All he could manage was a photo copy of it with my old numbers whited out and the right numbers written over the top. Shadow

I had a similar situation...got a fax from the motor manufacturer stating that one of the numbers on one of my motors was actually recorded by them to be on a boat in South Africa..tore up the fax and tossed it in the bin..makes no difference to me..nothing worth losing any sleep over.

Wouldn't be too sure about that PinHead, just try an insurance claim where the paper work doesn't match up! I'd be on Cunningham's back to sort it out.

It is not a problem brumby..you just take a pic of the motor on the boat with the numbers clearly shown and forward it to the insurance company..very simple solution. I sent them pic of everything on the boat same as I do with the house contents..all the larger items..only takes a few minutes to take some pics..everyone then knows what is involved.

You must be talking to the wrong people at cunninghams. I also brought a complete package from there and they have always bent over backwards to help me, one of the service guys even helped me rewire my landcruiser when I had LEDs fitted to the trailer. But then again I have noticed they have had a big staff change in the sales part.
