Monduran monster

Hi all

I just love these fish :D

I was sent this photo of a ripper Barra caught recently in Lake Monduran. It was caught casting from the bank and hooked on a gold bomber. At 99cm it was released to grow to the magic metre.

That's a very fat fish for it's length.
Any idea what the weight was Neil?

I called in to Monduran on the way back from Awoonga - talked to Rob, the Park Manager, and he said that the Easter period saw a good catch of barra at Monduran, with a few speciems over the metre mark. Most of the fish were caught on the troll in the middle of the basin.

He had personally been fishing over the previous few days, and caught good fish casting into the timbers.
