Is that Ban San ran (Something like that :-/) fishing park in Thiland. I read that story in Fishing World, The Aussies described them as "very Cobia like" and 1 of the strongest things they have ever tried to land. The fishing park has Barra too. Looks like a fun place to visit, right in the middle of the city . MQ

WE are doing the Mekong catchment and the dams and stuff on the river atm in geography and aparently those fish are starting to totally dwindle in numbers, becuase of how messed up the rivers becoming:S

If you used bread to catch that one, would you have to use a bakery as bait to catch a 300kg one.

Thumps,

That one at 300kg is pretty big. It made internet rounds earlier this year.
They are vegeterian fish so bread based dough bait is used.

As far as I know that park close to Bangkok is a catch and release place.

Catfish in rivers in Rusia, Europe and parts of Asia is a different species, predatory fish, they also grow big and can go over 100kg.

Here is a small model I got about a month ago.

Bung Sam Lan lake is an interesting experience; bit like fishing in a trout farm. Some interesting fish in lake such as siamese carp, arapaima and pirahna (which is definitely not native!). At the end of a days fishing there I had had around 15 catfish in the 20-45kg range and one siamese carp - picture attached. Excuse the stupid expression but my arms ached that much I had trouble holding the fish up.

Hi mr.ocean. I must admit i had a bit of a laugh when i saw you using a saltiga in the first photo, but the joke was on me when i say your rod locked up under 7kg of drag in the other shot #;D i always thought they pulled like carp ::)

Great going m8. Keep posting, like seeing fishing from other parts of the world.
