North Pine Gar

went fishing in north pine dam today and caught these gar in a couple of hours. lost my only no.10 hook and had to use a bait jig >:( Some guys near me were catching redclaw, and had almost filled a 20lt bucket. (think i'll take my pots next time) ;)
Does anyone know any good rigs for catching gar?

a good rig for gar is a float about 4 inches up from a size ten long shank hook with a peice of rolled up bread on the but before u throw out your bait burly up first.

Yeh' we went down there not long ago and put 8 pots in and only got 8 red claw ;D ;D and lost a pot. :( ::)

but the good thing :) :) is we are going to use the red claw for chasing parrot or tuskies ;D ;D

we might be going down there tomorow to check out other places around the dam cause we heard by a ranger that u can go up further (by car too). [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]
