Three nice little Bass tagged and released at Lake Gregory this afternoon in 34' (2 at 35cm, and one 49cm) as well as half a dozen Eel Tail's to 1.5 kg and a couple of little Forks.

Trying again tomorrow morning to see whether the warmer time makes a difference.

G'day Seajay39

Neither actually. They were caught on defrosted cooked prawns :D We actually took out a mass of worms to try but kept getting hit with the prawns, so decided to just enjoy the light line fishing.

Got another 4 on Sunday so a total of 7 for the weekend, which I think shows the health of the duckpond. Also shows a range of about 3 years stocking and with the 49cm caught on Saturday being lovely and fat, stands the area in good stead for the future. Catty's were about half the bag so you can get through them to get the Bass with bait.

I personally don't care if they were caught on lures or bait, it was just stunning on the lake both days and the family can't wait to go and do it all again. :)

Kind regards
Geoff

G'day Louis

It's a balancing dam just outside of Bundaberg and is probably only about 100 acres in size ,but the local Sportfishing Club keeps it stocked with Bass.

Josh caught and released a lovely 50cm Bass on 1kg line there last Saturday. Nice fish...
