Gold Coast

Hi,

Does anyone know of any good spots to fish (shore based) on the gold coast. I'll be heading up there on march 21. I'm happy to catch any sort of fish (bream, flathead, whiting, trevally, mangrove jack etc...) as long as i can get plenty of action and have a great day. I'll be staying near helensvale/monterey keys area but am happy to drive up to an hour to a good spot.

All help greatly appreciated. What bait should i use?

try the seaway near seaworld for some rock fishing or the beaches nearby for beach fishing even the canal bridge pylons are worth ago . tweed heads might be worth ago along point danger cliffs or the rock walls
as for ,bait well try pillies prawns livies strip bait . the local tackle shop can be helpful specailly if you spend some $$ in their shop ;)
