Baits and lures for big kimberely trev's

I had a bit of luck with some trev's but i'm still yet to land the monster. I've found that spanish flag make good live and dead baits also big jigs.
Can anybody add to this with there best method off fishing for huge trevally? ???

Try a foot long chunk of broomstick popper and fish it around jetty pilings, or around rocky outcrops. Use 100lb line, harness and a lock the angler to the boat.bridge,jetty etc strap, or get 6 strong men. Cheers Max

Whre are you fishing for the GT;s and with what kind of jigs? It makes a difference..

I forgot, you could use a live 3 foot mackerel as a bait, they eat them tail first, three gulps gone. Or a dart, or anything live and splashy. I had one eat a dart hanging on a 12 weight fly outfit. I could see the top of the tippet coming out of its gullet. Then it closed the trap and swam away.
Me I gave up, instantly. Was about 1000 lbs it if was an ounce, well 75 at least. Max
