I'm looking to upgrade my handheld Lowrance GlobalMap 100
with a fixed mount set so that I can actually read it at sea.

Anyone had experience with the Furuno GPS 32?

I dont want to spend a fortune just something rugged with a plotter and decent sized display area. I'm open to other suggestions.

I've got a gp-32 and a 600l sounder. I rate the sounder but not the gps. I will eventualy buy myself a colour map system.

thanks spiro,

is it that you do not like the display/operating system (pretty basic) or is it unreliable?

Theres 2 location operations on ot, compus and highway. Personaly i like the dial arrow effect, which you can get when you hard wire them in which then cuts the screen in half. At least it would be in colour. This is my opinion.
