Have to agree with devocean, I bought a 72 and can't complain about it, works fine and has a large screen. Looked at alot of different types and decided for what i wanted to do with it, it fitted all my needs, if you do decide to buy one and opt for a 12 volt adapter go for a genric one because the garmin one is well over priced

What mobile phone do you have ?? sometimes your phone can offer more than a hand held GPS

I have the new colour Magellan Explorist 600. I understand that the mapsend software will be upgraded in the next few months to allow marine charts to be used with this GPS. It is very compact and a nice size screen. It also has the advantage of a rechargeable battery etc.

Thanks guys!

I picked up a Garmin GPS 72 today!! great unit!

Seahorse, you use them by typing in good fishing GPS locations that you find off the net, or if you find a good spot while your fishing. you can save it so you can find the same spot next time.
