G'day, I have just brought a garmin gps 72 & was hoping someone can help. If i want to go from say colmslie boat ramp to curtain, should i create a route or go there first and save the track and follow that back home. If i create a route, how should i do it, do i keep creating waypoints every time i make a turn or what.
Thanks

Max, if you want to follow an exact track then yes go there and save your track. For a route, you usually only need a couple of key turning points, but the short answer is,,, yes. If you want to mark a turning point and use that turning point, then you need to make it a waypoint and use that waypoint in your route.

Max

If you clear all the previous tracks before you set out you can the scoot to whereever your destination is. When you get to the destination then go into the track menu and select trackback button. This will create and save it as a route for you.
