Heading out to fish around the reefs close to dundee, might be a bit rough with the wind currently. Had some good reports of reef fish moving through the area, snapper, stripie, rock cod, ect.
Found a series of pinnacles at the last comp out there, I've driven my boat at speed through this area for a year or so and never noticed the large pinnacles. The motor decided to stop while we where motoring to our favourite spot, (a little chunk of reef) and the sounder started to show pinnacles all ove the place, about 800m from land, about 18ft of water, 5 - 8ft pinnacles. The little chunk of reef we normally fish must have been the start of this reef.
Caught a good swag of salmon on the last trip, looks very likely for some large snapper and jewies to come on in the area, good neap tides this weekend.
