Fraser Trip - 9/8/2003

We are heading up to Fraser on Sat 9th for a week of beach fishing & reelaxation :) :) :)

After spending a week in the rain under tarps last year, we are trying something novel and renting a house at Orchid Beach. After 20 years of beach camping, you feel like a traitor to yourself - we'll see.

Anybody had any reliable reports from up that way as yet?

I'll post a report when we get back - fingers crossed for some quality stuff and hope for another 8lb fish this year!!!

G'day Davo,

Got a report of stacks of Whiting in the shallow gutters as well as a few Tailor. A mate from work was up there a week ago.

Dave,

Were heading up for 10 days from Oct 4. Hoping for good weather too. The tailor reports have been few and far between this year - right up and down the coast. Let's hope they're saving up for my trip north.

I'm going to chase quality this year with hopefully a 4-6 kilo fish coming my way.

And depending on the kind nature of a friend of mine may also be looking for a feed of lobsters/crabs and maybe even some reefies.
