talking to a fellow on saturday said his father was getting 12 to 15 sandies a time in the pine river from the houghton highway back upstream to dohles rocks you may need to wait a few day for the fresh to clear now though but may not be to bad caboolture river is that muddy and high from the rain but not sure what the pine is like but pumicestone passage is good up as far as coochin as i was there today for a while

Put some pots in overnight 2 weekends ago but did not have much luck, just a few undersize muddies. #Put them in up river of the Bruce Highway bridge, but was going to have another go this weekend but up around the Dohles Rocks area instead.
Good luck and let me know how you go.

Browndog,
I've been putting my pots out most nights down a dohles rocks ( out the front of my house ) and am getting 12 a night on average. These are only sandies although the muddies are starting to turn up, they take a bit longer to get washed out with the fresh. I've caught some good sized cod in the pots over the last month (all released) up to the 100cm mark.
:o :oHappy hunting Razorline :)

Hey pete
Your right plenty of fish.
I had a trip in my rig on thursday night at the pine,
crabbed until midnight .
The tally was 1 eel , 2 catfish and no crabs.
I needed to go to the reef to catch some fish and we certainly did that.
Cheers browndog ::) :) :)

My old man (greggie) has been crabbing daily out the front of Shorncliffe for the past two to three weeks and the crab numbers have been dropping on a daily basis. The pro crabbers came in and wiped them out. The pros have now removed their pots as apparently the sandies have a quick run in early summer for about a month then disappear and return around mid december.
Has anyone else heard that theory. Apparently this is relevant for the Sandgate/Shorncliffe area, dont know about other areas.
Are the crabs running around the compas adjustment bout yet???
Cheers
See you Friday @ the Embassy!!!
