gaday all.
got an invit to fish the awoonga classic at the end of the month. ;D
first time barra .
yehar.
out come the big gunns.
20 and 30 lb mains and 50 to 80 leaders.
thats heavey for a bait caster.
be good to get some blood on my new G-loomis.
just have to have a few more sleeps.

Jamie,
Try 50lbp main line braid to 80lbp plus leaders. Upgrade all terminal tackle. They don't fool around and you'll get smoked quicker than you can blink with lighter gear

the gear is heavy.
and the loomis is 17-25lb GL2 older rod but heavy line class. lite to feel.
got the reels all sorted now just need to tune a bit before the day.
a bit scarry though.
have spent probably $400 so far
im still at home :o
its been said all the gear and NFI :-?
time will tell
cqhornet. you cant miss us, 5.5 Galeforce C/C with Galeforce Boats right down the sides.
and us with Galeforce Boats fishing Team on the back of shirts.
were all members of the Gold Coast Sportfishing club.
