here's a pic of me and the flathead I caught at Elliot heads, bundaberg just off the rocks. a very proud day for a youngen like me.

I think this is a Javelin fish. I caught it in the elliot river. never seen one of these before. I'm from Wynnum-Manly so possibly they just don't reach this far down. Maybe not that big for the species, but it fought like a Mack truck. would be much appreciated if anyone can confirm this species and can give me any information on it.

What sort of lures? your right its a javelin,there are some big ones around the northern end of the broadwater, ive seen em to 5kg, that one is actually only a juvenile, not a common fish on lures, they usually go for prawns or herring.

g'day Mackmauler,
I caught him on a Stretch +5 Grey Ghost (I swear by it but I got bitten off the other day so it's back to the tackle shop). The other colours I like in the stretch +5 is the Mother of pearl and golden trout. I liked the Crazy clown but I can't get my hands on any. thanks for that.
