I was chasing barra on the lievrpool River near Maningrida and was having no luck. Saw this little fella with a cousin on a mud flat and got him to chase a bomber. Glad his mum wasn't round.

Shady Camp.

Whoever's been there will understand - my first time there - unbelievable. Got used to it eventually because there's no place like it close to Darwin for consistent barra hauls.

One day a mate from Perth was bored from catching barra (huh??) so he decided to peg a popper over to the other bank where a 3m croc was sunning itself. After about 5 casts the croc starts to get a bit toey and when he lands one right next to the mouth of the croc, it decides to chase the popper back our way.

Idiot.

We had to quit what had been a productive spot and go somehere else.
