QPWS has recently published a new map of Moreton Bay Marine Park's Turtle and Dugong Go Slow Areas. On the spot fines of $300.00 apply for operating speedboats on the plane in these areas.

The map is available on line at:

http://www.epa.qld.gov.au/media/parks_and_forests/marine_parks/go_slow_map_Mar06.pdf

In the event of hotlink difficulty go the parks and forests section of the EPA website (www.epa.qld.gov.au) then to marine parks then Moreton Bay Marine Park and it's on the right hand side of the screen as a pdf.

You can also contact the QPWS Moreton Bay District Office 127 Russell St Cleveland, ph 3821 9000 for a copy.

Stay safe and have a happy Easter

Thanks for posting this, I won't be paying the $300 because my old cruiser can't go that fast. But I'd like $300 for evey idiot I've seen speeding in these areas......wouldn't have to work

me thinks the areas are fairly shallow and go slow would be the norm for these areas
