Dredging of access to the Pelican Park boat ramp.
I have been informed that the dredging is a high priority project for the Department of Transport QLD (DOT).
Unfortunately the DOT has not yet received confirmation from the Environmental Protection Agency that permits will be issued for the dredging and disposal of dredged material in Moreton Bay.
The DOT is of the understanding that EPA is likely to make a decision on dredging
prior to the end of December. All things going well, the dredging will commence early 2007.
Lets keep our fingers crossed.
