Lake Eildon a fishing trip recommended

The Lake is fishing really well at the moment, over the Queens Birthday long week end there were many over a metre Cod caught by boat and on shore.one at Bonnie Doon was boated and measured at 115 cm. I landed two one at 40cm and one at 78cm both released. I was shore based at the Ancona arm.Also caught 3 trout all about a lb

Good to hear. Its a great place, though ive always gone to the eildon/big river of the lake.

What were the cod caught on?

Any other species being caught?

Is there much water at bonnie doon at the moment?

Great place for an extended weekends trip,, caught a ripper of a yellow belly there a few years back now.
It truly is a tranqual place to boat, when the water levels up and the weather nice...
