Fingers crossed they find these blokes. But seriously, why on earth would they go out in such a small tinny with wind and wave conditions such as they are. So stupid.

Yep, hope all ends well,

Log on and off with VMR at all times. A VHF is cheap insurance.

Anymore info on this yet? Heard they found the boat submerged, I’d imagine the current would rip through there!

No sign of them still.

Reports said they were fishing the mouth of the Brisie river....not the bay.
The semi submerged boat would have drifted out with the tide and end up at green.

I suspect they would have been all rugged up in multiple layers of clothing and possibly raincoats as well given the conditions, time and season. If they went in, it would be bloody hard to stay afloat without a lifejacket.

Police pulled the pin on the search this evening.

You would think they would hire some trawlers to pull the bodies up for a day at least.

FMD! Surely the search needs to continue. These fellas need to be found. Regardless of the outcome, The human bodies resilience to the elements and conditions are far greater when dealt with the inevitable. From a personal point of view without going in to details, never, ever underestimate the will to live.
Myself will head out tomorrow, not for a fish, just to help bring these fellas home.

If they made it to an island SES would have found them, if they were fishing in the river in a small boat and were heading home to the south you would think they would head out through the passage south of Fishermans island out past Stout point and if the worst has happened they would have been sighted and recovered by now for the family's sake.

6 days missing in a populated area with official emergency search in place......zero chance of survival unfortunately.

I had a crack, 100l of fuel burnt but to no avail. beyond belief these boys are not/ haven’t been found. Lots of boats it the bay, yet no luck. Will have a another go tomorrow. Anyone heading out tomorrow please drive with the thought of perhaps finding these boys.

Its was really windy that evening, cant believe they went out there in a 3.3 metre boat, if on the eastern side of Green they would have gone straight into a big chop when they headed home at 10 pm..

Initial reports were they were fishing the Bris River mouth when they called to say they were coming home.

I heard that they were out around Green island?.
Either way a 3.3 metre tinny in wind like that is just reckless sadly..

Have the water police given up on these poor guys, the whole thing just doesn't make sense 2 guys in there late 20s could not get to there life jackets when the boat was found bobbing around,I would have thought there would have been seen on the port authorities security cameras some were if they were fishing in the mouth of the river to see which way they left to head home to get a better idea of were the might be.

Just had a report a deceased person found near St Helena Island.
If you're around that area keep your eyes out for the other person.

so sad so sad, only 25 years old, you know the percentage of young mens deaths involving water is extremely high.
perhaps some one can post the poem "Gone fishing" by delmar pepper... and as we read it, those less fortunate will be in our thoughts.

Here you go.

Gone Fishin

I've finished life's chores assigned to me,
So put me on a boat headed out to sea.
Please send along my fishing pole
For I've been invited to the fishin' hole.

Where every day is a day to fish,
To fill your heart with every wish.
Don't worry, or feel sad for me,
I'm fishin' with the Master of the sea.

We will miss each other for awhile,
But you will come and bring your smile.
That won't be long you will see,
Till we're together you and me.

To all of those that think of me,
Be happy as I go out to sea.
If others wonder why I'm missin'
Just tell 'em I've gone fishin'
