I just moved to Brisbane from California, USA, and would love to get some lines wet over here. Planning to live near the river in West End or South Brisbane, so looking for info on how to get some land-based fishing done in the area! I'd also love to meet some local fisherman so if anyone would be open to have me tag along on a fishing trip I'd love that. Besides that, any general tips on where to fish and what to use would be much appreciated! Cheers

There's some YouTubes about bream on lures around the city that might interest you. Not sure I'd eat them....
Can't help with anything actually productive because I am hopeless. ..just a reason to get out on nice spots early in the AM for me really.

Search out Threadybuster lures on facebook.
He is local and get a lot of good fish land based in the Brisbane River.

Right at the moment the tailor are about and a reasonable feed can be had early morning or in the evening. Similar to your bluefish in the states.
