Hi Folks,

My son has been haunting me for crabbing. I have not done it for years. My pots got rustic in the garage. Last time we went to the woody point jetty. But didn't get legal male crab.

I understood the crab stock became low as population grew.

Anyone would like to provide any suggestion about location please? We don't have boat. With young kids, we prefer easy accessible land based location. We live at the south side of Brisbane.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Carl

Probably best wait for summer and try to find a creek to put your trap in, unless you are looking for Sandies.

Thank you, Noelm.

Without a boat, I guess it gonna be hard to catch sandy. All right. I will try to persuade kids to wait. :-)

There must be lots of places available to catch Sandies, even a jetty to drop traps off, or somewhere you can just wade around to put them, people do it all the time here, so I can see why you can't do it where you are.
